his week, with the compassionate volunteers from ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ and ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฑ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ, we were able to deliver ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐-๐ฌ๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ, in close coordination with our very own ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฒ of Southwestern University Medical Center, currently assigned there.
From the hospital, we journeyed to the areas most devastated by the recent earthquake. What we witnessed was truly heartbreaking, ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ณ๐๐ซ๐จ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ were hit harder than words can describe.
Entire families in ๐๐จ๐ ๐จ๐, ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐จ๐ง, ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐จ, ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฒ๐๐ง remain ๐ฎ๐ง๐ซ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ง๐๐๐. Many have lost their homes, and basic necessities like water, food, and shelter are still scarce.
Yet, even in the midst of their struggle, we were met with ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ฌ and ๐ ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐. Hearing โ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐ญ ๐ค๐๐๐ฒ๐จ ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ฒ๐จ ๐๐โ๐๐ฆ, ๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌโ from those who received even the simplest relief items, it meant ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐ก ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐ฆ. It reminded us why we do this. ๐๐
These communities still badly need:
โข Tents or trapal
โข Clean drinking water
โข Rice and ready-to-eat meals
